We're Still Here

We are indeed still here. We've got camera issues again. We've not had any photos of our recent activities, but we've been plenty busy. Here's a quick update:
*Matt's FFM group had their year-end party a few weeks ago. It was a grand (and quite tasty!) meat fest at our friends, the Elgersma's, house. Check out the pics here.
*We had Anna's 3 year old pictures taken (I'll post those next) at this cool place in Lansing. My sister and her family live close by so I was able to go to a fashion show that our niece Kelly was in while Matt, our brother-in-law, Anna, and her cousin Jenny got to play and go out for ice cream.
*We've been playing outside a lot since it's finally spring around here. Getting squirt guns and a huge bubble wand from the $ store have been great investments.
*Anna's been saying fun things like:
After playing outside for awhile with Jeremiah (a little boy we babysit), we decided to go say hi to a neighbor. Our neighbor asked, "Who is your friend?" After thinking for a second she replied, "Arianna" (a little girl who goes to Soul Care Kids with her.)
Matt was talking to Anna about when he would be preaching at our church. He asked her, "What do you think the kids at church will call me?" She replied, "They will call you Pastor Papi."
*Matt has started a 20 week internship at our GR church (Shawnee Park CRC). Our pastor is on a sabbatical and Matt is "filling in for him" while he's gone. He preached for the first time there this morning! At first we were a little disappointed that we wouldn't be going to a new place for the internship, but after having some church experience in California, learning more of church in GR will be really good for him. (And we don't have to pack up and move for 10 weeks!) Matt's looking forward to being done with classes, though, so he can concentrate on the internship without also having to do classwork. Exams are this week. He's got one project and one exam to finish up by Wednesday. He's also taking his Hebrew comprehensive exam on Thursday. We'll be celebrating next weekend!
*I'm already making plans for a little vacation we're taking this summer. (We made a point of saving some of our house sale $ for a vacation since it's been a long time since we've taken family time away.) We're headed to Niagara Falls in a few weeks and then will do a few shorter trips later in the summer. In the meantime, I'll do a little babysitting through June, taking trips to story time at the library, going to the park and the zoo and cherishing Fridays (Matt's day off). I'm hoping for lots of trips to Lake Michigan, too.
Well, before this becomes too long I'll leave you with a few pictures of our cutie pie. (Photos courtesy of Uncle David.)

Ugh, I would seriously die without our camera!

Having done the whole seminary thing, we LOVE hearing about your experience. Those internships were great experiences, but did uproot us quite a bit (we went to Cleveland and Lafayette, IN).

Best wishes on that Hebrew Comp, Matt!
