Running Commentary

On our way to a high school graduation open house yesterday afternoon, the following conversation took place:
Anna: "I have 2 Grandmas and 2 Grandpas.”
Daddy: “Yes, you do.”
Mommy: “Where do your Grandmas live?”
Anna: “The other Grandma lives at the airport, and the other Grandma lives at the lake.” (Anna usually refers to my mom as Grandma in Arizona. Grandma at the airport was what she called her after we picked Grandma up from the airport last Christmas when she came to visit.)
Mommy: “And where do your Grandpas live?”
Anna: “One of my Grandpas lives in heaven with God," after a little pause here, (which made us just a little bit anxious), she continued, “the other Grandpa lives in heaven with Jesus.”
Daddy: “Yes, they do.”
