Settling In

It's definitely time to catch up with blog posts before I get any further behind!  This will be a picture-less post (especially since I've got a really bad cold right now and blogspot has changed things up a bit and I'm getting used to the change).  We arrived in Bellevue on Tuesday (August 9) and our stuff came on Thursday.  We stayed with some wonderful people from church for a few nights while we checked out the house and get our stuff unloaded and unpacking started.  Besides unpacking we've (together or in part) been:
*finding our way around Bellevue and surrounding cities
*meeting our neighbors
*meeting and getting to know really wonderful people at church
*playing on the swings and slide in the backyard
*getting the feel of how things work at Bellevue Christian Reformed Church
*becoming Washingtonians--getting drivers' licenses, license plates, local phone numbers, Seattle Times subscription, car insurance , etc.....
*going to a wedding, 3 birthday celebrations, and 2 farewells
*going to our first parent meeting at Anna's school
*spending some cool family time together on Matt's day off exploring our new surroundings
*picking some of the blackberries that are growing between our house and church
*looking for a new vehicle (that's not a manual transmission) so Gail can drive more than a few blocks from the house (it's very hilly here!)
*loving the cool evenings and milder climate
*being excited about settling down here!
