Pacific Science Center

Our Monday adventure took us downtown to the Pacific Science Center.  A friend from church invited us to see the special exhibit he was helping host.  They had a model railroad exhibit set up in various places around the center.  It was really awesome!  (Thanks, Frank!!)  The Science Center is really huge and there are so many things to see and do--we'll probably have to go back sometime soon!  We were really impressed by all the hands-on things at the center and with the trains.  Anna got to have 2 train rides.  She was pretty excited about that!

Another favorite spot at the center was the bug exhibit.  One of Anna's favorite books is about big bugs and we got to actually see some of them.  A few were pretty scary looking!  This one may look like a leaf, but it is really a bug.

Another part of the adventure for the day was taking the bus to downtown Seattle.  We figured with it being a holiday it would be pretty crowded and parking gets a little expensive, so we took the bus and then got to hop on the Monorail to the Science Center.  It was a little scary for me, but it was fun!  And we're learning how to navigate around downtown Seattle a little better with public transportation.  What a great day!!

What fun! It looks a little more extensive than old Meijer Gardens. You guys are brave to do all that exploring. Enjoy!
