Indianapolis

We headed down to Indianapolis this weekend to attend the wedding of Brian and Mallory. Brian and Matt are in an FFM (formation for ministry) group together at the seminary. It was a beautiful wedding and fun to catch up with friends from the seminary.

We stopped in South Haven to spend a little time at Lake Michigan on our way down. We really weren't going to stay long, but Anna went into the lake right away, so Matt ended up putting on his bathing suit to stay near her. They had fun playing in the water.

Anna has become quite the traveler this summer. She is very proud to have her own suitcase and be able to pull it by herself. She was so cute in the hotel when she would try to hold the elevator door open for us going up to our room or down to the pool.

We were really excited to see our friends, the Elgersmas, who were also at the hotel for the wedding. We hung out with them a lot and enjoyed catching up. It was great to see them again---and we're glad they're back in town now, too. Anna and two of their kids enjoyed the pool at the hotel. Anna had fun hanging out in the "hot pool".

On our way home we walked around the town of St. Joseph for a little while. They had some cute animal statues on the street corners. Anna climbed on some of them. After getting a bite to eat, we headed down to the lake. A storm was coming over the lake, so the waves were pretty big. It was fun to watch.
