Family Time

My mom is in Grand Rapids for a couple of weeks. She's got a class reunion in Chicago early September and decided to spend some time with her daughters in Michigan as long as she was coming to the midwest. She arrived last night. Anna was happy to have someone new to show all her toys to and play with.

This afternoon we went to Gun Lake for a little bit. My aunt and uncle are celebrating their 60th anniversary this summer and were able to celebrate with much of their family. We crashed their party for a little while so we could see cousins and second cousins we haven't seen for many many years.


This is a picture of my sister Sue and my favorite cousin Sue who my sister was named after. They are standing with their daughters both named Jennifer.

Even though it was quite a chilly day (not even 70 degrees) some of the kids wanted to go in the lake and they took the boat for a spin around the lake. Surprisingly, Anna decided she wanted to take a ride in the boat. After they got back, she really wanted to ride in the paddle boat. She was shivering, but wouldn't leave until she got a ride in the boat.
