Oriented

Matt started orientation last week (Thurs and Fri) at the seminary. He's very excited about starting classes soon. He's already met some really neat people that he'll be having classes with. I think he has to get a few more books and school supplies and he's ready for class Tuesday. In the meantime, we're spending a lot of time with family and working on the house. He painted the dining room the other day. He wants to get his office painted before Tuesday and then will take a little break from house stuff to see how heavy his work load will be. We'd like to replace the dining/kitchen carpet and re-do the cupboards. But that will come more slowly (and as finances allow). My mom is still here for a few more days. She's been a great help either watching Anna or helping get boxes unpacked. She's determined to find our silverware before she leaves! And I hope she does! I have no idea where it is, and it's getting a little old being without it. Anna and I are looking forward to getting settled into a little bit of a routine. I'm looking forward to checking out the library and seeing what church or seminary spouse/kids stuff we can get involved in. We checked out the G.R. Children's Museum the other day. Anna had a blast! We got some cool pics from there. We'll be visiting there often. It's going to take awhile to get really adjusted here and get used to calling this home. We miss our friends, our church, and Ripon, but God is good and we're doing pretty well here. Please continue to pray for a buyer for our Ripon house.

Anna has Matt's eyes, no? I am glad to hear that you are adjusting to life in GR. I am a firm believer that change is good, but that doesn't make it any easier to move away from a place that you love - I still miss living in Modesto and belonging to Immanuel church and it's been 3 years! I have to admit I am jealous of your move to Michigan - I would move there in a nano-second if David said the word!
