Matt had his first Greek quiz today. He says it's a lot like Spanish in many ways and because he taught Spanish for so many years, knows the grammar so well, that so far it's not that tough for him. He's enjoying his other classes and continues to get to know more and more people. Anna and I bring lunch and eat with him 3 days a week (after seeing the ducks in the seminary pond). Here's a picture of part of the front of our house. Yes, it's September 12, and we have jackets on. Today it was cloudy most of the day and was in the 60's. Time to bring out the winter jammies! Anna is talking up a storm. She repeats many things we say and is coming up with more and more words that only she knows the meaning of. She is becoming more and more independent as well. She can negotiate the 2 steps out of our house all by herself without holding onto anything. Aside from a few outbursts at Meijers (grocery store), though, she's a pretty good kid. She still loves books and a trip to the library is a great treat for her. She's also loving a slide and 2 fish that her cousins gave her. I'm looking forward to joining some sort of coffee break or Bible study group soon. I think it would be good for both of us. I keep plugging away at the boxes that need to be unpacked. We hope to have the Ripon/Calvin kids over on Sunday. I'm excited about that. Hopefully we'll get internet at home soon so I can write more often (and then keep them a little shorter).

Hey Borsts -
So glad to hear all of the good things that are happening right now. Love the jackets too! Hope the rest of your Greek quizes stay as easy as this one was.
Take care, Dave and other VMs
